Services

I work with women, mothers and caregivers, with a focus on well-being and self-care. For new parents and parents of children with disabilities, self-care is non-negotiable. But often it becomes a luxury that there is no room for. Together we work to make small changes that help you carve out some space for your own wellness and regulation. My focus is holistic, which means I try to support your wellbeing as well as that of your entire family. This may mean focusing on your child’s immediate needs first, or we may work to support everyone in the family in different ways simultaneously. Some clients prefer a consultative model, while others appreciate a coaching relationship. My services are flexible and can be used in combination.

Here’s some more about how we can work together, and what we might focus on.

Parent & Family Consultations

Family & Parent Consultations

Figuring out a way forward

Consultations provide a space for information, planning, and problem-solving on placement, services, goals, home-based support for children, teens, and young adults with disabilities such as autism, and/or medical complexity or chronic illness. Sessions also include systems navigation support and education.

I can help you:

  • identify areas of need and gaps in services

  • create a communications and advocacy plan for your child

  • envision solutions for challenges at home and at school

  • prepare for your next IEP, Team meeting, or doctor’s appointment

  • begin to create a plan for the future

  • support your family during a crisis or transition

  • provide consultation on your child’s IEP, placement, program, and other supports

  • help you identify and navigate new systems of care

Mental Health Coaching

Perinatal Behavioral Health Coaching

Walking with you during this transition

Perinatal Behavioral Health Coaching provides vital support to women in the perinatal period (pregnancy through one year postpartum). Sessions focus on emotional wellness, screening for perinatal mood and anxiety disorders (PMADs), building resilience and developing coping strategies to deal with the common stressors of this life stage including:

Coaching sessions may help with:

  • postpartum recovery

  • processing birth experiences

  • adapting to life as a parent

  • relationship changes

  • loss of sleep

  • return to work

  • parenting other children

  • feeding challenges

In my practice, women are not always first-time parents. Some parents may already parent a child with a developmental disability or recent autism diagnosis and this is likely to play a role in how a new baby is integrated into the family. I offer support around co-regulation, and practical strategies for self-care.
